HoMM: Olden Era works as a prequel to the series, offering a brand new continent as playground. This turn-based strategy game has six playable factions currently, more than 100 unique, recruitable heroes and multiple game modes, ranging from the narrative campaign to its competitive multiplayer, with others in between. The company opted for going with an early access model, meaning the game will evolve and possibly change up until it's fully released.
This game is already worth buying just for its amazing graphics. It captivates from early on and proves very fast that Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era is a great come back for the series. The turn-based strategy mechanics feel satisfying, and while there are some improvements that need (and will be) made during the early access stage, it's pretty polished already.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era captures that classic feel of the series perfectly. Strategy exploration and fantasy blend together in a familiar but more modern way. Even in Early Access it already plays really well and shows a lot of potential. If development continues like this it could become a strong comeback for the franchise I’m excited to see what comes next.
Beautiful graphics! If I found out they used AI for the landscape, I'd still play it!
