Capcom at PAX West 2025: Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword with Playable Demos!

Resident Evil Requiem (RE:9) is the new main installment in the famous survival horror series by Capcom. Specifically, this is the much-discussed and rumored ninth chapter officially announced at Summer Game Fest 2025. This chapter revolves around the new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft.

The game takes us back to investigate Raccoon City, which has been hit by a mysterious new virus. This is the same place where Grace herself lost her mother 8 years ago. Resident Evil Requiem at PAX West: Playable Demo Confirmed

With just a few weeks to go until PAX West 2025, the famous event celebrating the world of video games, Capcom has confirmed its participation. The renowned Japanese publisher has confirmed a dedicated Panel entirely for Resident Evil Requiem in its lineup.

They dropped a surprise by revealing the presence of a playable Demo for RE:9. This is particularly interesting since the highly anticipated new chapter has also been confirmed for Gamescom 2025, just a few days before PAX West. This will allow attendees in Cologne and Seattle to try out the awaited title, ahead of its scheduled release on 27 February 2026.

 

Capcom: PAX West Dates and Confirmed Games

A new opportunity for many fans of the series to discover new details about RE9. As well as the chance to get hands-on with the awaited chapter. PAX West 2025 will be held in Seattle from Friday, 29 August to 1 September 2025.

Among the Capcom game lineups, a special Panel has been confirmed. A Panel dedicated to some of the most anticipated titles, which will take place on 31 August 2025 at the Main Theater. The times are 2:00 pm PDT / 5:00 pm EDT / 23:00 CEST. And it will feature Resident Evil Requiem, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and PRAGMATA, among other titles. In addition to live playable demos.
