Like many games of the genre, the character is customizable and there are different classes to choose from, add that to the variety of weapons and gear found in the world and you can surely find something to fit your playstyle. The combat appears to be fluid and challenging, with many enemies and boss fights to take on. The game will also support online multiplayer with both PvP and coop.
The Lords of the Fallen is a dark and challenging action RPG that takes place in a world gripped by demonic corruption. Players take on the role of Harkyn, a convicted criminal given a chance at redemption by being sent to defeat the fallen god and his minions. With a focus on strategic combat and character customization, the game offers a deep and rewarding experience for those willing to brave its unforgiving difficulty. With its wonderfully detailed universe, Lords of the Fallen looks to be a promising souls-like RPG. The previous installment published by CI Games didn’t receive very flattering reviews, even though some players found it charming. Despite the amount of negative feedback, the studio doesn’t stop there and is working on a new opus.
It’s more polished in terms of gameplay, and will offer some interesting features. Once we’ve chosen one of the 9 classes, we’ll be able to customize our character with a host of options. The game contains over 100 different weapons, so it will be interesting to gear up our hero as we progress. But the most remarkable thing about Lords of the Fallen is the breathtaking cut-scenes and stunning graphics. I think the game might have a few flaws, judging by previous titles, but its art style is so mind-blowing that it definitely makes you want to play it.
Perhaps one of the biggest releases of the year. Lords of the Fallen offers a Soulslike experience, albeit with a very pronounced RPG orientation, more so than in From Software’s games in any case. This orientation is marked by a choice between 9 different classes at the start of the adventure, between different magics, ranged attacks, hand-to-hand combat with heavy or light weapons… There’s something for everyone.
On the story front, we have to defeat a certain Adyr, a demon god whose resurrection is approaching. Titanic bosses await us in a Dark Fantasy universe. It should be a challenging, Die and Retry game, with frustration and immense pleasure when you get over a mountain. The campaign can be played by 2 players online, or even in PvP mode. The art direction is convincing, at least at first glance, and I hope that this Souls-like game will stand out from its competitors.
