Who is the team at The Coalition and the Future of the Series.
As big fans of Gears of War will know, the series before 2015 was developed by none other than Epic Games on behalf of Microsoft. With The Coalition team founded in 2010 as Zipline. Then renamed Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver and Black Tusk. And finally, since 2014 as The Coalition with the acquisition of the series’ rights.
Entrusting the team with the entire development of the series starting from 2015. Announcing just in June 2024 the arrival of E-Day, a prequel chapter of the series. This chapter will star none other than Marcus and Dom as members of the COG during the Locust invasion. Scheduled for launch in 2026 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the series on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
