This FF Resonance will delight fans of old-school turn-based JRPGs. With plenty of nods to the classic FF games, its HD-2D graphics hold up well in 2026. Combat revolves around exploiting enemy weaknesses. The design is polished, the interface is intuitive, and it’s honestly very pleasing to the eye—a nice surprise. It remains to be seen how it stacks up in terms of gameplay depth, combat progression, and story complexity!
Final Fantasy Resonance is the new entry in the famous JRPG franchise but taking it back to its origins, to pixel art and camera angle 2.5D environments. It looks very pretty and of course there will be lots of exploration, turn-based combat, secrets, equipment, companions, skills, a cool story and all those things that we play games to experience. I think they got back to this format because of Octopaths success, and I personally like it more this way than last FF16
