HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED BOBBY KOTICK PETITION?

Activision Blizzard has been hit in recent months with accusations and reports of inappropriate behavior and misconduct  by company employees.

  who is Bobby Kotick?

These complaints include accusations of sexual misconduct, harassment, bullying, and threats of violence.

In a recent message to his employees, Kotick promised to “create the most welcoming and inclusive workplace.”

can I sign Bobby Koitck petition?

That includes his and the company’s dedication to moving forward with zero tolerance towards inappropriate behavior.

You can read his entire message here.

It seems, though, that his words have come far too late and that those working at Activision Blizzard no longer have confidence in his ability to lead the company.

In response, Activision Blizzard employees have staged a walkout and signed a petition demanding his resignation or removal as CEO.

The petition states, “We, the undersigned, no longer have confidence in the leadership of Bobby Kotick as the CEO of Activision Blizzard. The information that has come to light about his behaviors and practices in the running of our companies runs counter to the culture and integrity we require of our leadership–and directly conflicts with the initiatives started by our peers. We ask that Bobby Kotick remove himself as CEO of Activision Blizzard, and that shareholders be allowed to select the new CEO without the input of Bobby, who we are aware owns a substantial portion of the voting rights of the shareholders.”

As of writing, the petition is at nearly 1,800 signatures, and you can see the full list of names  here.

NINTENDO RESPOND TO ACTIVISION BLIZZARD REPORTS

Nintendo of America president, Doug Bowser, has moved to address everyone at Nintendo of America in an email, where he promises an open and inclusive company.

On the reports of harassment and abuse at Activision Blizzard, Bowser says that he finds the accounts “distressing and disturbing.”

Bowser also says that Nintendo has contacted Activision and are taking “action and are assessing others.”

It’s not clear what actions Bowser and Nintendo are referring to, but he clarifies that Nintendo is working with the ESA to strengthen the stance on harassment and abuse in the workplace.
