Street Fighter 6 (SF6) is the new installment in the famous fighting game series by Capcom. The sixth main installment debuted on June 2, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It offers deep customization of characters and playstyles, as well as great variety with its 3 main game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.

Street Fighter 6: Sagat Gameplay Showcase
Following the celebrations of Street Fighter 6’s 2nd anniversary, Capcom has unveiled the new quartet of Year 3 characters. With none other than the legendary emperor Sagat making his return as the first character of the Character Year Pass. Capcom revealed that Sagat will arrive in Street Fighter 6 on August 5, 2025.
The announcement was accompanied by the Gameplay Trailer dedicated to the master of Muay Thai. It includes a showcase of the fighter’s fearsome techniques in the new Proud Spire stage. We see him showing off his techniques against his original rival Ryu, as well as former boss Bison.
Street Fighter 6: Sagat and the Year 3 Pass
Sagat returns, with the famous antagonist who first appeared in Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, showing off new moves. In fact, along with the classic Tiger Shot and Tiger Uppercut attacks, the emperor sports the Tiger Nexus knee strike. Opening up new possibilities with 3 different follow-up kicks for air, block, or low stances.
And with the 3 Super Art levels in order: Tiger Cannon, Savage Tiger (4 follow-ups), and Tiger Vanquisher. You can therefore unlock Sagat using Fighter Coins or automatically with the Year 3 Character Pass. Unlocking also C. Viper (SF4) in Fall 2025, Alex (SF5) in Spring 2026, and newcomer Ingrid in late Spring 2026.
W̵r̵e̵t̵c̵h̵e̵s̵ Fans who are familiar with Sagat’s playstyle will feel comfortable with his Street Fighter 6 iteration with his long reach and dazzling array of fireballs, but he’s also picked up a few new moves during his time away in the mountains.
