Rhythm Game ‘Unbeatable’ Delayed Just Hours Before Release
D-Cell Games shocks fans by delaying rhythm game Unbeatable just hours before launch, now releasing December 9.
Release date setbacks are common in the industry. But a delay announcement made on launch day, well not as much. And that’s why when D-Cell Games announced that Unbeatable won’t be making its debut a few hours before it was supposed to, fans were shocked, to say the least.

Rhythm-adventure games are on the rise and so when Unbeatable was announced to release November 6th, gamers were looking forward to it. It all seemed going according to plan, so much so that D-Cell Games official X account even had a countdown on the 1-week mark.
But then Murphy’s law hit, or just completely unlucky, that the game ran into a major bug in its last QA testing.
According to the official announcement, “QA hit a low-repro progression blocker” and fixing it will require pushing the console release date. While it is an option to just delay the console version, the team prefers to have all versions released at the same time.
UNBEATABLE will now release December 9th.

Unbeatable will now officially launch on December 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The team explained that while it won’t take that long to fix, plotting a release date isn’t as simple as, “it’s ready, now we release.” With the crowded calendar of upcoming titles, choosing the right date is crucial to give the game the best chance possible. We’ve seen it with Silksong, with Battlefield 6, and with Black Ops 7.
The game itself looks fantastic, stylish, energetic, and full of promise, but still, going against titans isn’t ideal so D-Cell probably made the right call.
