Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest chapter in the famous Capcom Monster Hunter series. A new chapter in the action RPG series with a strong online focus. The series started in 2005 on PS2, becoming a true cultural phenomenon in Japan and later expanding to the West.
This new chapter takes us to explore the Forbidden Lands, with a more hostile but charming open world. Launched on 28 February 2025, it’s a huge success with over 10 Million copies sold. Get Monster Hunter Wilds and embark on a new adventure as a Hunter in a fresh region full of challenges and monsters to hunt!
Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6 – New Crossover Revealed
The Capcom team surprises us by announcing the first Monster Hunter Wilds Collab. An unexpected in-house collaboration with none other than Street Fighter 6, the latest chapter in the iconic Capcom fighting game series. The announcement confirms the crossover drops on 28 May 2025.
Accompanied by an explosive trailer. A crossover featuring the classic Akuma with a special armor set. The special item lets you unleash some of Akuma’s iconic moves. Also included is a fun Blanka armor/skin for your Palico and new DLC coming soon.
Monster Hunter Wilds: What’s New in the Street Fighter Themed Content
An unexpected yet awesome collab on Wilds starring the beloved Akuma from Street Fighter. Complete the new side mission “Ultimate Strength” by talking to Quinn at Oilwell Basin Base Camp with at least Hunter Rank 21. Rewards include:
- Akuma hunter full armor set and layered equipment
- Blanka-Chan Palico full armor set and layered equipment
- Hunter profile background, nameplate, and pose
Wearing the full Akuma armor set or layered set lets you use the “Assisted Combo: Akuma” from the Item Bar. Mimic powerful moves like the Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken. Capcom also offers paid DLC featuring Cammy and Chun-Li skins for Alma, Blanka-chan doll, stickers, and new Gesture Attacks (that can deal damage).

Attention Hunters! #MHWilds will undergo maintenance next week in preparation for the release of Update Ver. 1.011. During maintenance, online functions such as multiplayer will be unavailable, however you can still play offline.

A fantastic first collab for Monster Hunter Wilds with the arrival of Akuma. A full armor set that lets us unleash the powerful fighter. A crossover definitely appreciated, although the decision to sell the DLC separately instead of as part of a pack was strongly criticized by quite a few fans.
