La Quimera is a game in development by the new Reburn team. A Ukrainian development team with several members who were behind the creation of Metro. The game was first revealed in February 2025.
With a game that takes us on an adventure in a dystopian future in Latin America. With the rise of real private military powers, the private military companies (PMC). Where, as an operative agent, we will have to face rival forces through an action-packed campaign. A game that certainly calls to mind the Crysis series. La Quimera: Release Date Revealed
Just a month after the announcement of La Quimera, the Reburn team returns with exciting news. Surprising us with the release date for their first project, La Quimera. An action FPS that will take us to Latin America in the year 2064. The expected release date is April 25th, 2025.
Accompanied by a brief gameplay showcase, showing us the various dangers we will face during the adventure, as well as some abilities of our exoskeleton. Not to mention the futuristic weapons at our disposal. The announcement also includes a Closed Beta.
La Quimera: Gameplay, Features, and How to Join the Closed Beta
Reburn’s action FPS has certainly captured the attention and interest of many. With what seems to be, for many, a spiritual successor to Crysis, over 10 years after the last new chapter. The game offers:
- Story: Taking us to the year 2064, in a dystopian future. Offering an action-packed story with a touch of political-military intrigue. Playing as a member of the forces of a certain company.
- Location: A Latin America deeply marked by the era of PMCs. Offering an environment as exotic, with thick tropical jungles, as it is futuristic with Megacities.
- Gameplay: A fast-paced shooter with a large arsenal of weapons. As well as abilities from our exoskeleton to unleash powerful gameplay combinations.
- Play Solo or with Friends: The game allows us to tackle the campaign solo or in co-op mode, with up to 3 players.
Additionally, the team with the recent trailer announced the Closed Beta. Giving players the opportunity to try the game early. Simply visit the game’s Steam page and request access to the Playtest. This Closed Beta will take place on:

From what has been shown so far, La Quimera looks like a fun futuristic shooter that pays homage to the Crysis series. Offering not only an interesting location with a futuristic South America but also a campaign that can be played with up to 2 friends.
