The 16-minute gameplay video shows not only a peek at the game’s story, but also the all-new Nemesis system. The Nemesis system is also one of the most notable features of the previous game, Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. In Shadow of War, Monolith has brought the Nemesis system to another level as it now extends not only to orcs, but also to fortresses.
Fortresses are where the game’s villains reside. They can be customized and can be upgraded which gives Talion control to more forces.
Talion can also still use it for orcs, and in Shadow of War, orcs can now have a wider range of behavior. For example, if one orc is left to die in battle, other orcs will come back and exact revenge for him.
You can check out all other details in the Middle Earth Shadow of War gameplay video below. The game is set to be released on 22 August and is going to be available for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
