FIFA 22 – Preview Packs, Loot Boxes, FUT, and Early Access

Ahead of the launch of FIFA 22 next week, EA has revealed some of the exciting things we can expect, including Preview Packs, FIFA Ultimate Team, and Early Access content.

FIFA 22 EARLY ACCESS

FIFA 22’s Early Access kicks off on September 22, and those eligible can join in and unlock exclusive rewards.

If you are an EA Play member or pre-ordered the game, you can find below what date you can play FIFA 22.

FIFA 22 Early Access Dates:

• EA Play Members (10-hour trial starting September 22)
• EA Pro Members (full game access from September 22)
• Ultimate Edition Pre-orders (full game access September 27)

Those who do jump in and take part in Early Access can earn exclusive content during that first week.

FUT HEROES AND ICONS

FUT Heroes is back and bigger than ever for FIFA 22 with 19 FUT Heroes available from the game’s launch date.

FUT Heroes celebrates some of the beautiful game’s most memorable players from all across the world.

With another FIFA comes another four FUT ICONs. So far, there are only three announced, with a fourth to be revealed.

FUT ICONs Announced:

• Cafu
• Iker Casillas
• Robin van Persie

During the season you can unlock four versions of each ICON, which are Base, Mid, Prime, and Moments.

At launch, you can earn the Base and Mid versions, with the Prime and Moments versions releasing later in the year.

PREVIEW PACKS

FIFA 22 will continue to use FUT packs as loot boxes, but you can now earn Preview Packs after their successful trial in FIFA 21.

Preview Packs are transparent packs in which you can see the contents inside before deciding to make the purchase.

Preview Packs come in Premium Silver and Premium Gold, and each has one available, which resets every 24 hours or after purchase.

FIFA 22 Preview Packs:

• Premium Gold Pack (24-hour refresh timer)
• Premium Silver Pack (24-hour refresh timer)

The Preview Packs do not replace the traditional packs of FIFA Ultimate Team but are simply another way of purchasing packs using your FIFA Points and FIFA Coins.

FIFA 22 RELEASE DATE

The official release date for FIFA 22, for anyone who has not pre-ordered the game and not part of EA Play, is October 1, 2021.

FIFA 22 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC.
