We’re not even completely over all the great announcements from yesterday’s Gamescom Opening Night Live and here we are with yet another big event, The Future Games Show. More games, more reveals, and more demo drops await every gamer in the world!
The Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025
Gamescom 2025 officially kicked off yesterday with ONL and it was pretty epic. Today, August 20th, two massive broadcasts are going live with Xbox@Gamescom and The Future Games Show at Gamescom. Since we already did the former’s what to expect article, let’s the Future now.
The Future Games Show at Gamescom will go live on Wednesday, August 20, at 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm BST or 8pm CEST. Apart from of course being in the event itself, people can watch it live on Twitch, Youtube, BiliBili, and other major streaming platforms.
The showcase will be hosted by David Hayter, the iconic voice of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series, alongside Maggie Robertson, best known as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
The event will be a packed 90-minute show, followed by a 40-minuted FGS Live so expect loads of reveals and dev updates. Among the many publishers confirmed to participate in the show are EA, Capcom, Bandai Namco and Nacon.
While we got our trailer for Resident Evil Requiem during ONL, we will get a dev spotlight in FGS. Also expected is an exclusive sitdown with The Blood of Dawnwalker director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and lead designer Rafał Jankowski, a dev presentation on the Skate reboot, new gameplay trailer for Tormented Souls 2, and a trailer for open-world horse game Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori.
These are just what was announced previously. With over 2-hours worth of show, expect more updates and reveals later. So if you’ve got plans today, try cancelling some to enjoy both Xbox and FGS broadcasts.
