The Rogue Prince of Persia confirmed for physical release on Nintendo Switch 1 & 2
Ubisoft has teamed up with Maximum Entertainment to bring a physical edition of The Rogue Prince of Persia to both Nintendo Switch systems. Already available in its final digital version since August 20, the 2D roguelite from Evil Empire will now be accessible in boxed form on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PS5. Eager players will still be able to jump in earlier, as the digital release hits the Nintendo eShop on December 16, 2025.
However, Ubisoft confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 edition will come as a game-key card, a format that may disappoint collectors. To compensate, fans can turn to the Immortal Edition, which includes a premium Steelbook with sleeve, a double-sided poster, and a set of illustrated cards that combine to reveal part of the game’s map.
Wandering Sword is also coming to consoles in 2026
Clouded Leopard and Spiral Up have jointly announced the arrival of Wandering Sword on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, accompanied by a physical version published by Red Art Games. This martial-arts-inspired RPG from Swordman Studio blends 3D pixel-art with traditional Wuxia themes, offering a unique action-RPG experience previously exclusive to PC.
Player feedback supports its growing reputation, with the Steam version sitting at an impressive 94% “Very Positive” score based on more than 31,600 reviews since September 2023. While Switch players must wait for an exact release date, PS5 owners can expect the title on May 28, 2026. For this console launch, Clouded Leopard also confirmed new Japanese and Chinese voice-over options.
