Eight Games Pulled From Stream Your Own Library Including Civ Games
Stream Your Own Games gets trimmed. 8 games including Civ VI and Just Dance pulled without notice.
Just a couple of days ago, we reported on a massive batch of games added to Xbox Cloud Gaming’s Stream Your Own Games feature, a system that allows Game Pass Ultimate members to stream games they already own via the cloud. That list marked the second major wave of additions, with the first drop arriving earlier in May and adding 11 titles.
But while the library had been steadily growing, it’s now taken a few steps back. Eight games have just been removed from the lineup.
Stream Your Own Game Library Gets Smaller
Xbox’s Stream Your Own Games library has just shrunk. A total of eight games have been quietly pulled from the streaming feature, despite some of them being available as recently as two days ago. Among the most notable removals are Civilization VI, Civilization Revolution, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Just Dance 2024.
Here’s the complete list of games that have been removed from the Stream Your Own Games service:
- Just Dance
- Lego 2K Drive
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns
- Moving Out 2
- PGA Tour 2K25
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
- XCOM 2
It’s interesting to note that most of these titles come from 2K, raising questions about whether the removal was due to licensing, cloud streaming compatibility, or just premature availability. At the time of writing, Microsoft has not issued any statement regarding the removal, nor has 2K.
Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains: these titles are no longer streamable through the Stream Your Own Game feature. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any official updates and watching to see if these games eventually return to the library. Or even more games pulled.
