This platformer, even though faithful to its origins, still feels so fresh thanks to its reimagined gameplay with returning turn-based system. Super Mario Party features plenty of well-known characters, with Bowser Jr being playable for the first time. Out of standard party mode, this installment comes with many other secondary activities that you can try in multiplayer. In short, this is a great game to play in the family circle or with a group of friends.
This Super Mario Party will entertain you with friends or family, locally or even online, with a series of fairly successful mini-games that leave little to chance. However, the promised return to the roots will come as a disappointment to those used to Mario Party: 4 very short boards (thirty or so squares), fairly linear play, few twists and turns, and few possible strategies. You'll enjoy the games, but not the board game, which is too sparse.
It's an incredible game with fantastic minigames that follow the classic formula of collecting coins and stars. The graphics are good, and the music is fantastic. It is one of the best game in the series that I've ever experienced.
Dubbed as just Super Mario Party, this particular title is the 11th entry of the series and the very first to come out on Nintendo, at the time, brand new Nintendo Switch. Needless to say that Super Mario Party has been tailored specifically to the Switch new features, features that heavily takes advantage of the Switch innate local co-op features. With 20 iconic characters from the Mario franchise and 80 minigames. not to mention being able to expand the "screen" with a second Switch!
Super Mario Party is an interactive board game with over 80 minigames to be played with friends, family or strangers all across the world. Roll the dice and move your character on the board, depending on the tile you land, positive or negative things may happen or you can even start a special event like a minigame. There are different boards available with distinct mechanics and traps. Collect coins to buy stars or other objects, the one with most stars at the end wins.
