About Afterlove EP

Afterlove EP is a hand-drawn rhythm-based slice-of-life adventure game developed by Pikselnesia set in the modern vibrant city of Jakarta the capital of Indonesia, step into the shoes of Rama, a young musician struggling to move on with his life after the death of his girlfriend, Cinta. Whilst his bandmates are all determined to help him move on, Rama has been stuck for more than a year. Neglecting his music, mental health, and relationships.

• The band has a very important gig in one months’ time, Ranma has to get serious about his music and delivers-new the songs he has been promising or the band will move on without him. During these 28 days and nights, it will be your choices that determine the path Rama takes. Explore the city, and choose which relationships to repair and which new ones to pursue.
• Explore modern-day Jakarta through side-scrolling sections, engage in deep and meaningful conversations with characters of your choosing and jam with your band in the game's many rhythm game segments.
• Set in the streets of Jakarta where several of the developers live or have lived, enjoy the manga-inspired art of renowned Indonesian artist Soyatu and an original soundtrack from Indonesian indie band L’Alphalpha.

Afterlove EP offers a deeply heartfelt and genuine narrative experience, showcasing clear thought and care in its world-building, characters, and storytelling. The rhythm game segments may not provide much of a challenge for the average gamer but do so much to add to the overall vibe, especially with the wonderful music. Though certain early sections may feel a bit too railroaded and lacking in dialogue choices, the journey as a whole is special with a story that is bound to pull at your heartstrings.
