Abyssus is the first-person shooter in co-op from the development team at DoubleMoose Games. A Swedish development team bringing an ambitious and interesting new project published by The Arcade Crew. With a co-op FPS in a Roguelike style, where we’ll play as the Brinehunters.

A group of hunters of the Brine, the powerful resource found in the ocean depths. Leading to the discovery of an ancient civilization whose corrupted inhabitants infest the ruins. First revealed on 5 December 2024 with the first Alpha Playtests. Followed by the June Demo with the launch date reveal. Abyssus: Now Available

Following the announcement from the June Steam Next Fest, today finally marks the official launch of Abyssus. The first-person and co-op shooter from DoubleMoose Games, published by The Arcade Crew. Available starting today, 12 August 2025 on Steam.

Abyssus: Gameplay and Key Features

DoubleMoose Games thus offers a fun co-op shooter with Roguelite progression. Taking us into the deep sea abyss, in search of the rare material known as Brine. Leading us to explore the ruins of an ancient, corrupted civilization. Its depths are teeming with dangers and enemies, offering:

• A fast-paced FPS: A first-person shooter with high mobility and speed. Accompanied by unique weapon feedback and captivating design. With 36 different types of enemies and 4 bosses to face.

• Play in Co-op: A co-op experience for up to 4 players, where teamwork will be key to survival. As well as synergy between weapons, skills, and equipment for your Brinehunter.

• Customization: Deep weapon customization, with 8 weapons available as well as 45 mods. In addition to various skill upgrades. And the Roguelite-style choice of a new skill at the end of a run.

Offering 64 manually crafted levels that will be presented to us procedurally. With the team confirming some details ahead of the launch. Including a very competitive price of $24.99 with regional pricing. But also the confirmation of Future Updates being totally free, with the Roadmap to be revealed post-launch.
