-A tip for both completionists, and casual players: pick up all the quills! Quills are what you use as currency in Yooka Laylee, and you will need these to buy skills from Trowzer.
-Remember all the moves you have in your arsenal. Sometimes if you can’t figure out what you need to do with a certain puzzle, using a different ability may help you solve it.
-The game’s audio will be your friend when you’re trying to look for some items, or characters. Sound effects may give you cues when a character is nearby, so use it to your advantage.
-Another thing that can be of great help to you is the Hunter tonic. Equip the Hunter tonic as soon as you get your hands on it because this plays a chime when a rare item is nearby – the sound is similar to the whistle you make when calling a dog, and repeats at approximately every three seconds. You can also use this to find quills you have not collected before.
-Explore everything! There’s a reason why nooks and crannies exist in Yooka Laylee, so explore each one of them. You’ll never know what you may discover.
