Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the second chapter in the first-person action series from Fatshark. The Swedish development team brought us the first Vermintide back in 2015 to great success. It offers a co-op action adventure in a PvE style set in the Fantasy world of Warhammer, where you’ll face hordes of Skaven in a world in ruins.
Vermintide 2 debuted on March 8, 2018, putting us back in the roles of the Heroes of Ubersreik. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Feast of Grimnir – Fatshark Reveals the New Upcoming Event
The Fatshark team is mainly dedicated to Warhammer 40K: Darktide. But they surprisingly brought some fantastic news for Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Releasing a teaser on August 15, 2025, for the 4-player co-op action game in the Warhammer Fantasy universe, they’ve unveiled Feast of Grimnir.
The team accompanies this reveal with a short teaser. Feast of Grimnir brings a special limited-time event, and fans of the franchise will recognize it as a tribute to the legendary dwarf, Grimnir the Fearless. The event goes live on August 26, 2025.
The Latest News on Vermintide 2 and Fatshark
This is fantastic news for the big fans of Vermintide 2, as the Fatshark team continues to support the game a good 7 years after its launch. They just celebrated the 7th Anniversary this past May with extra XP and the final map of the Verminous Dreams campaign, along with an event dedicated to the Warhammer Skulls showcase.
Meanwhile, the team is mainly dedicated to developing Darktide in the WH40K universe. The late June update brought the new additional class, the Arbites. This class comes with the loyal and ferocious Cyber-Mastiff, plenty of skills, and a reserved weapon class.
