Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt Officially Shutting Down

The free-to-play multiplayer battle royale will close its servers on April 28, 2026, with developer Sharkmob disabling token purchases with immediate effect.

Released in 2022, the game launched on PlayStation and PC with high expectations, hoping to break into a heavily populated genre with its unique vampire-focused gameplay. Unfortunately, despite peaking at 27,500 players on Steam at launch, the game now sees a daily peak of around 600.

Why Bloodhunt Is Shutting Down

In the official announcement, Sharkmob has told fans that keeping the servers running for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt “is no longer sustainable” due to the “current player population” being so low.

The studio thanked fans for creating an “amazing community” but revealed that the game will no longer be available after the servers go offline on April 28, 2026.

What Happens Next

Until April 28, the game remains fully playable, and those with token purchases can spend them on the in-game store until servers go down. However, any tokens not remaining will be unusable after the game shuts down.

Once servers go offline, all account and gameplay data “will be deleted” in “accordance with GDPR and/or equivalent.” A sad end for those who have supported the game over the last three and a half years.

What to Play

As the sun rises on Bloodhunt, there’s a ready-made home for everyone affected with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the long-awaited sequel to the classic RPG that is now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
