Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Out Now on PC and Consoles

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is now available for all players after initially launching in early access for those who pre-ordered the game.

It is available on PC via the Epic Games Store as well as on PS4/PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.

What is Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?

Final Fantasy Origin is a hard-core action role-playing game set in a dark fantasy version of the original Final Fantasy game’s universe.

In this game, players take the role of Jack Garland whose sole objective is to kill Chaos. He has the task of bringing back the light of the crystals to the kingdom of Cornelia which has been taken over by darkness.

He is joined by Jed and Ash, and collectively call themselves “Warriors of Light.” As the game progresses, he will meet other characters that will also join his party as companions.

Jack carries a darkened crystal orb that apparently resonates with other people who have them. The rest of his companions each carry a crystal orb. Each member of the party is also equipped with weapons and gear, although in terms of customization, you have limited choices for party members.

The game’s battle system is action-packed, and is inspired by Souls games, without it being a Souls-like game. There’s a bunch of things to do whenever you face an enemy, starting with learning how to read their attacks (especially bosses) so you can guard yourself, parry, or dodge when needed.

It also features a cool Jobs system, where players can choose two jobs for Jack that can be upgraded using Job Points. You can take advantage of this especially when facing different enemy types, as it allows you to switch from one Job to another during battle. Each job comes with a variety of weapons and abilities.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Editions

The game has a Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition that’s available in digital form. There’s also a physical version available containing the base game.

The Digital Deluxe Edition has the base game and the following extras:

• Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Season Pass – Contains additional missions “Trials of the Dragon King,” “Wanderer of the Rift” and “DIFFERENT FUTURE”
• Digital art book
• Digital mini soundtrack

Those who pre-ordered the game received Early Access as well as the Rebellion Weapon.
