Sifu is a roguelike beat ’em up game where you play as a young Kung Fu student on a path of revenge against the family’s assassins. The game is known for intense hand-to-hand combat. It is also popular for its realism and cinematic martial arts action.

One of the unique features of Sifu is its aging mechanic. Every time your character dies, he is resurrected by a magical talisman. But everytime you do so, the character ages up and loses some health.

Gamers who have played Sifu enjoyed its cinematic roll as it somehow reminds them of Kung Fu Hustle or HBO series Warrior with its fight scenes. It features a variety of different environments from the streets of Chinatown to the corporate tower where the assassins are based.

Sifu is not only a gamer favorite but also critically acclaimed. It has been nominated for several awards including Best Fighting Game and Best Independent Game at The Game Awards 2022.

Sifu was initially released on February 8, 2022 for PC and Playstation then November 8, 2022 for Switch, and March 28, 2023 for Xbox. Sifu’s final content update was released on September 7, 2023.

How to play Sifu for free?

For Playstation Plus Premium or Playstation Plus Deluxe, you can now play Sifu for free for one hour. This comes as Sony’s announcement to put the game on free trial for PS Plus higher tier members.

The offer is valid until January 28, 2024 and if you do decide to buy the game, you can start from where you left off from the trial period.

So not only is PlayStation offering a 1-hour Sifu free trial, it has also put up the game’s Deluxe Edition at 60% off. You can get this offer until November 14, 2023.
