Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Adds Time Machine for Missed Quests

Bandai Namco has revealed Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s upcoming first update. The first free update will grant players access to a time machine which will allow them to go back to previous arcs and complete quests they have missed. This time machine can be unlocked by completing a subquest for Gatchan and Arale — this subquest will also be part of this free update. Bandai Namco did not mention when the free update will drop.


New Psychological Horror Game Project: MARA Unveiled

Ninja Theory, the team behind Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, has announced a new “experimental title” called Project: MARA. The game is currently in development, and is a psychological horror title. According to Ninja Theory, the game’s goal is to recreate “the horrors of the mind and accurately and realistically as possible.” Apart from the game featuring a single character and location, Ninja Theory appears to be tight-lipped about it at the moment.


MLB the Show 20 Releases First Gameplay Trailer

Sony has dropped the first gameplay trailer for the highly-anticipated MLB The Show 20. Releasing on the PS4 on March 17th, the trailer reveals new legends such as David Ortiz and Mariano Rivera. The trailer also shows off new gameplay features like real-time hitting, dynamic on-field relationships and an overhaul of the March to October game mode, giving you more flexibility and more control of the game you love.


Release Date for Wasteland Remastered Announced

inXile Entertainment have finally given us the release date of Wasteland Remastered. Originally announced back in 2018, the remastered version of the 1987 classic RPG, Wasteland, will now be released on February 25th. The game will be available on Steam, GOG and the Windows Store, and more surprisingly will be made available on the Xbox One with Xbox Game Pass. Wasteland Remastered is not the only Wasteland out this year with Wasteland 3 still due for release on May 19th.


The Outer Worlds Awarded Game of the Year at New York Video Game Awards

Obsidian-developed RPG The Outer Worlds has been awarded Game of the Year at the 9th annual New York Videogame Awards after beating off competition from strong titles such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Resident Evil 2, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Disco Elysium and Death stranding. Obsidian are looking to expand on the game’s success of last year by releasing story DLC later this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. The game is also available on the Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers to play it for no extra cost.


Deeeer Simulator Debuts on Steam Early Access

Following the success of games like, Untitled Goose Game and Goat Simulator, a new game has released on Steam Early Access, DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game. Self-described as a “Slow-Life Town Destruction Game”, you can choose to take it easy and frolic around the town with other like-minded animals or simply release the stress by completely destroying the town and everything in it. It is currently on sale at 10% off, making it available for less than $12 until January 27th.


Temtem is Currently Steam’s Top-Selling Game

It’s only been a few days since Pokémon-like MMO Temtem hit Steam, and already the game is enjoying its moment of fame. As of Steam’s January 22nd stats, Temtem is the number one best-selling game, with a peak concurrent player count of 29,545. Quite impressive for an Early Access game. Its popularity, however, took toll on players’ access to its servers, as long queues were experienced alongside the game freezing and disconnecting. Temtem’s Early Access version features three islands, 76 Temtems, and a 20-hour campaign.


Vitality, Empire, BDS and Rogue Dominate Playday 6 of R6 Pro League 11 – Europe

Playday 6 of the Rainbow Six: Siege Pro League saw strong wins for Team Vitality, Team Empire and BDS Esport. Team Vitality came out 7:3 winners against forZe, Team Empire ran out 7:1 winners against Natus Vincere and BDS Esport had a confident 7:2 win against Chaos Esports Club. The remaining match from Playday 6 saw Rogue come out with a narrow 7:5 win over G2 Esports. The results mean Team Empire and Rogue keep the top 2 places in the Europe standings with only a point separating them. BDS Esports remains in 3rd place another 2 points behind.


Team Secret and Alliance Advance to Round 2 of Upper Bracket Playoffs

Team Secret and Alliance have both advanced to Round 2 of the DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major’s Upper Bracket Playoffs. Team Secret bested Fnatic, winning 2 out of the 3 matches, with Fnatic gaining the upper hand during the first match. Team Secret then emerged as victors during the 2nd match, and finally defeating Fnatic in the third one. Alliance, on the other hand, went head-to-head against NaVi, also with a score of 2 to 1. Both Team Secret and Alliance will face each other in Round 3 of the Upper Bracket Playoffs on January 24th.


Subscription Service for Europa Universalis 4 Currently Being Tested

Paradox Interactive is testing a subscription service for its strategy game, Europa Universalis 4. The company announced it through its forums, saying they have “heard for years from existing and potential new players that the cost of getting the game and all expansions all at once is quite expensive,” and that a subscription model had been suggested to them “on many occasions,” so they decided to do a test run based from this feedback. The test will be offered to a limited group, and whether the service will push through will depend on how the test goes.


Dead By Daylight Tome II: Reckoning Available Now

Dead By Daylight has received its new Tome update. Tome II: Reckoning adds new background stories where players can explore a wider selection of characters. Players can look forward to four key memories: Steeped in Blood (The Spirit Rin Yamaoka), All the World a Stage (Jane Romero), Ascendance (The Doctor Herman Carter), and Manchester Mash-up (David King). Reckoning also adds new outfits and charms for the mentioned characters, plus a new community-created collection that will feature outfits for survivor Feng Min and killer Clown.


Fallout 76 Wastelanders Expansion Gets Map Changes

Bethesda shares what is included in the upcoming Wastelanders expansion for Fallout 76. The map will now have quest markers as well as symbols for other activities like sidequests. The inactive quests will still show on the map but will be seen in a more muted tone. Players will also be able to toggle between active quests only. Right now, the Wastelanders expansion is on beta in a Private Test Server. The testers are under NDA, so we have to wait for further announcements.

The PlayStation Store’s Totally Digital Sale is back and it comes with discounts for around 200 PlayStation 4 games. Some of the games included are Don’t Starve Together which is 50% off, A Way Out which is usually $30 dollars, is now just $18 dollars. The game Overcooked Gourmet Edition is now $8 dollars from its original $20 dollars. The adorable game Unravel Two is also part of the sale and is 65% off, now at $7 dollars. The sale will run until February 5 only.


Legends of Runeterra First Major Patch Revealed

The first major patch of Legends of Runeterra has been released by Riot Games. This is an early patch that will be available for the game as it launches for open beta on January 23rd for pre-registered players and the 24th for everybody else. The patch will come with a ranked mode, economy changes, card changes, support for a friends list, customization options and so much more. Mortal Kombat Kollection Online Gets PEGI Rating

A Pan European Game Information or PEGI rating has been given to the game Mortal Kombat Kollection Online. This has been reported by Gematsu, although the rating does not appear on the PEGI website, Gematsu was able to take a screenshot of the rating while it was still available. The game listed that it is a remake of the first three games of the series. It was able to get an 18 rating making it unsuitable for children. It is said to have “upgraded art, gameplay, and online features”.


Nioh 2 Story Trailer and DLCs Unveiled

Team Ninja reveals a new story trailer for their upcoming game Nioh 2 as well as shares what the post-launch DLC would entail. The game is set in the year 1555 in Japan. The land is in chaos because it is infested by demonic yokai. There is, however, a demon hunter, who is half human and half demon. The protagonist and his company will set out to search for the Spirit Stones. The game will have three DLC packs which will be part of the game’s Season Pass. Nioh 2 is set to launch on March 13, 2020.


Overcooked 2 New Patch Adds Rat Chef for the Chinese New Year

A free new update is coming to Overcooked 2 as they are gearing to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This content update is called the Spring Festival patch and it is actually now available on all platforms except Xbox One, which will arrive soon as well. This new patch comes with two new playable characters, one of which is a rat, since it is the Year of the Rat, and the other one is a turtle. This will also come with five new levels that has a unique theme.


Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD to get Full Subtitle Support

DualShockers has announced that Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will be getting full subtitles via a free DLC. The game has already launched on the Nintendo Switch and it is a remake of the 2005 classic. Players who were able to play the game noticed that it didn’t have any subtitles at all for the gameplay. The full subtitles support was said to arrive shortly and will come with support for different languages including English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and more.


Stardew Valley Reaches 10 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

ConcernedApe’s farming simulation game, Stardew Valley was able to sell 10 million copies worldwide. The great news came from the game’s website. Back in August 2019, the game was able to reach 6 million copies sold worldwide. Stardew Valley originally launched as a single-player game but evolved to have multiplayer support where up to four players could work in just one farm to build and manage it together. Stardew Valley is now available on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.


Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen is Coming Back to OG

After winning the last two Internationals of competitive Dota 2, OG’s players took a well-deserved break. This sparked rumors of roster changes as some of the members took longer breaks than others. One of which is Anathan “ana” Pham who came back and the other one is Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen. Topson who posted on Twitter “TI10 I’m coming for you #DreamOG.” brings to rest these rumors. OG also announced that the team would be competing in the European qualifiers for the ESL Los Angeles Major.


Dying Light Gets Patch 1.23

The first Dying Light game gets a new update from Techland which will update the game to version 1.23. The patch will come with improvements for performance and stability. The framerate drop issues have been improved as well as the addition of various under the hood fixes come with the patch. A PC Hotfix 1.23 is also available which fixes the issue with the Faceless NPC in The Following and the rewards for the local community goals.


Circle Empires Rivals Open Beta Now Available

Iceberg Interactive and Luminous has an open beta available for their game Circle Empires Rivals. It is now available and it will be running up until January 29, 2020. Those who are interested to join, will just have to join Iceberg Interactive’s Discord, then find the sub-channel #circle-empires-rivals, then type in “.key”, and then simply activate the key on Steam. Its very simple, after that you can now play co-op with other players.
