The long awaited first expansion of Amazon Games’ 2021 open world mmo, New World, finally releasing on the 3rd October. Rise of the Angry Earth along with all the new contents from Season 3 is set to improve and expand the experience of the base game, with a brand new story, mechanics,, new events and more.
Set in the 17th century , the fictional island of Aeternum is filled with magic and mythical beasts. In these lands, the players will be able to forge their path, learning from scratch how to fight, forge and scavenge, slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with. As well as competing with other players by taking parts into large scale fights, thanks to the PvE and PvE aspects of the game.
In this brand new expansion, First Light, the southern area of Aeternum, has fallen into the hands of Artemis and the Angry Earth. Reshaping the area to an unsettling verdant landscape, filled with dangers and strong enemies.
There will be several content coming with this brand new expansion, aimed at enhancing both story and the gaming experience as a whole with challenging new areas brimmed with new dangerous enemies.
A brand new story, in which the once peaceful zone of First Light is now rebranded as Elysian Wilds,. The place hosts new dangers in the forms of magical beasts that have taken refuge in these reshaped lands. Among them the primordial Beast Lords are the most dangerous, with players being able to track them down with the new level 62+ Expedition.
Level cap has been bumped to 65, with Gear Score to 700, as well as Trade Skill to 250. All with brand new resources to gather and gear to obtain. A new Artifacts Tier for weapons and armors. And a new weapon, the Flail, a one-hand weapon geared toward a support role. Thanks to the Flail’s arcane magic, you’ll be able to buff allies and debuff enemies, while still dishing out some damage!
The long awaited mounts are finally here! Finally wWe’ll be able to ride horses,dire wolves and lions, allowing us to traverse faster the lands of Aeternum. With a new Riding Trade skill we’ll be able to make our mounts faster and useful buff. And the new heartrune Ability of Primaly Fury, which allow us to deal unarmed light and heavy attacks by unleashing our beast within.
The DLC will come along with the Season 3 update, available to all players. It will feature a new Season Pass with activities, challenges and rewards to unlock.
A beefy update for the PvP part involving Factions, with the objective of gathering Influence in certain areas before the opposing one. Obtaining bonus rewards and the chance to declare War in an attacking and defending scenario with a time limit.
The main storylines of Edengrove and Great Cleave will receive a new overhaul after the player feedback, some perk removal and rebalances.
As well as new Seasonal Events in the form of NIGHTVEIL HALLOW and TURKEY TERROR, themed after Halloween and Thanksgiving. With the return of Baalphazu and Turkulon, for tons of limited-time rewards.
As the game received new updates and content since its launch in 2021, the requirements to run the game at an ideal state has been bumped to deliver a much more enjoyable experience that will take place with the new release of Rise of the Angry Earth an Season 3:
