Neon Abyss 2 leaves Early Access with its full 1.0 update. The rogue-lite sequel launches on consoles and Game Pass, adding full co-op and a new Titan.

The underground rogue-lite adventure returns as the sequel finally reaches its full release. Players have spent months battling through early access to help test and refine core features. Now, the complete game is ready and has also made its way to consoles.

Neon Abyss 2 Arrives on Consoles and Game Pass

After spending time in Early Access, Neon Abyss 2 is now available as a full 1.0 release across PC and consoles. The game makes its console debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, while PC players can move from the Early Access build into the completed version. Since the console and Game Pass editions are launching with version 1.0, players picking up Neon Abyss 2 for the first time are getting the best version of the game from the start.

Xbox players can also play Neon Abyss 2 through Game Pass from day one. The game is available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It’s also not the only new game joining the service today, with Echo Weaver and Forever Ago arriving on Game Pass as day-one releases as well.

What’s New in Version 1.0?

Now that Neon Abyss 2 has left Early Access, version 1.0 brings a sizeable batch of new content and changes to mark the full release. Theia, Goddess of Vanity, joins the game as a new Titan, bringing a new boss encounter to the Abyss, while achievements are now available across all platforms including Steam.

The Storm Breach game mode is also out of beta and available to everyone, offering a faster option designed around 1-4 player co-op. Players can also randomly select an Agent at the bar, while new Agent profiles track abilities, boss kills, and highest Fate records to make planning future runs easier.

There are also changes across several of Neon Abyss 2’s systems. Artisanism Faith has been reworked around badges and new Affixes, the fishing room now has a day-night cycle and a hidden boss, and Supporter Pack owners can use the new in-game Music Player to listen to the soundtrack from the bar.

Version 1.0 also adds new customization options, reworks set mechanics, introduces improvements to Wonder Blocks, Smiley Merchants, weapon XP, evolution progression, graphics and frame-rate settings, ultrawide support, controller options, audio, and localization, alongside a long list of bug fixes covering co-op, saves, bosses, weapons, rewards, menus, and other parts of the game.
