FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water will launch this Halloween on October 28, and Koei Tecmo and Nintendo have revealed a few of the survival horror game’s enhanced features.

FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water is a remaster of the original game first released on the Nintendo Wii U in 2014.
The game follows the journey of Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki, three people who have a power called Shadow Reading, the ability to sense remnants of memories.
These memories lead our three protagonists up three dangerous paths of Mt. Hikami, a mountain notorious for suspicious disappearances and vengeful ghosts.
The only way to stop the malicious spirits is by taking their photo with the Camera Obscura, a special camera capable of sealing the spirits it captures in photos.
You can also use the Camera Obscura to snap pictures to reveal secret areas and hidden objects.
As you progress through the story, you will unlock abilities, upgrade the Camera Obscura, and unravel the mysteries of the mountain.
FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water features several enhancements that make it worth buying.
The game has updated controls and improved screen resolution for modern hardware and consoles.
There are new outfits and accessories to unlock and equip and an updated ghost list.
Also included is the new Snap Mode, a new creative mode that allows you to select and position any ghost and character and add effects and costumes before taking the perfect picture.
FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water releases on October 28, just before Halloween, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
It’s available in a Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition, and is available to pre-order now.
The Deluxe version includes exclusive costume sets for all three characters, a 20th-anniversary digital artbook, and BGM tracks from previous titles in the series.
