Ok, now that we’ve got all the announcements out of the way, can we give a minute to talk about what just happened? It was exciting to wait and see the first gaming event of the year and the first creator-led showcase. However, maybe it took the “creator-led” a bit too much to the heart.
Now that all community reactions are out, it’s safe to say that I’m not the only one who thought that there was too much talking in the event. Since it was positioned to be all about the games, many expected a more game-centered show. But what happened was a bit too much host-centered. Instead of watching a showcase, it felt more like a combined podcast of all the hosts.
It was almost 4 hours long. Technically, it was longer than TGA 2025 which had an awarding ceremony, ads, and announcements. The idea is great but the execution could have been better. Since it’s the first one, hopefully people give them a pass and try to get excited for it again next year… in a better format.

It was incredibly boring with all the unnecessary talking, besides they put it at a very bad timing for euro people, it was impossible to watch it without falling asleep so I gave up, much better to watch the next morning the separate videos, that btw, thanks for listing them all here.
