New Game+ Showcase 2026 airs Jan 8 with 45 games, no paid ads, and a fully creator-led, self-funded lineup featuring indie and AAA titles.

2026 is officially about to kick off its first gaming showcase of the year. While most eyes are locked on the next Xbox Developer Direct, which has yet to lock in an exact date, there’s another event coming up much sooner that some people might have missed.

The New Game+ Showcase is set to go live on January 8th, 2026, and it is promising a packed lineup of 45 games, ranging from indies to AAA titles. The more interesting part is how it’s being positioned.

Unlike most major gaming events, New Game+ is self-funded, completely creator-led, and is making a point of keeping things focused on the games. No paid ad placements, no corporate sponsorship tone, and no interruptions that feel like commercials disguised as segments.

New Game+ Showcase details and what to expect

New Game+ Showcase is a creator-curated event scheduled for Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 10 PM CET. The organizers say the show is designed to feel more direct and personal, skipping the usual paid promo placements and focusing entirely on the lineup.

The full list of 45 games is still being kept under wraps, of course, but a number of titles have already been confirmed to appear, including:

  • Crimson Desert
  • The Blood of Dawnwalker
  • The Eternal Life of Goldman
  • The Cube
  • Atomic Heart DLC
  • Grounded 2 winter update
  • Dragon Twin
  • Denshattack!
  • Don’t Nod’s Aphelion
  • Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call
  • Dark Light: Survivor
  • Duskfade
  • The Expanse: Osiris Reborn
  • ExeKiller

To close out the announcement, the team also dropped a hype trailer, which at least in our opinion, effectively hyped the community. The show is being spearheaded by creators and streamers including Luke Stephens, Luality, IamRob, Blue Thunder, HUN2R, and Jake Sucky, with production handled by Gaming World Media.

It is being framed as a more community-driven showcase, where the focus stays on new gameplay footage, updates, and developer chats that feel more candid.

If you’re looking for something to start the year off before the bigger publisher showcases arrive, this one is close, packed, and at least on paper, built for the people who mostly just want to see games.
