Everstone Studio just dropped a massive content bomb for Where Winds Meet to bridge the gap between Season 1 and Season 2. If you thought January would be a quiet month for updates, think again.

Where Winds Meet has been a massive success for Everstone Studio since it launched on PC, PS5, and mobile on November 14, and the developer has outlined its plans for January 2026.
The new roadmap introduces a new region, story, and content that will roll out throughout January across all platforms, with version 1.2 launching on January 8.

Where Winds Meet: January 2026 Roadmap Revealed
The January 2026 roadmap kicks off on January 4th with the new Hero’s Realm “Sorrow of Mortalbound” event, which includes the level 10 solo mode Unbound. This sets the tone for a darker narrative arc leading into the new year.
Throughout the month, players will receive weekly new content drops, culminating in the “Year of Abundance” celebration on January 29th, which comes alongside the Season-End Dash limited-time event.
This final event aligns with the Lunar New Year festivities. Expect significant in-game rewards and limited-time activities that maximize your character’s progression before the major February overhaul.

Where Winds Meet Patch 1.2 vs. The Season 2 Pre-Launch
Patch 1.2 goes live on January 8, introducing all-new and exciting content. This update introduces the Kaifeng Campaign, a major narrative expansion that pushes the story forward.
The patch also introduces the Nameless General, a new World Boss that will test your combat mastery. You will need to coordinate with your guild to take him down efficiently.
Most surprisingly, the “Nine Mortal Ways” base is arriving earlier than expected. This feature hit the global version faster than the original CN release, giving western players a unique advantage.
Is Where Winds Meet Worth the Grind in January?
This is the absolute best time to return to Where Winds Meet. With the Guild Pre-Season events running alongside story updates like “Whispers Beneath The Moon,” the game offers high-value rewards for your time. Getting back in now ensures you are fully geared up when Season 2 drops in February.
