A leaked list claims to reveal all Epic Games Store Holiday Mystery Games through December 31 including RDR2.

 

Epic Games Store’s weekly free games are always nice but things get way more exciting when Mystery Games enter the picture. These events pop up a few times a year but the holiday season is the big one, usually bringing at least one AA or AAA title and turning the community into full-time detectives.

In past years, Epic helped fuel the hype with clues and subtle hints, and insiders occasionally stirred the pot with fun guessing games. This year, though, it’s been quiet. No clues, no teasers. But what we do have is a leaked list that supposedly shows every Mystery Game all the way through December 31.

 

Epic Games Store’s Holiday Mystery Games Leaked

A lineup of 15 games reportedly to be Epic Games Store Christmas Mystery Games have been circulating for the past couple of days. Since it appeared after the first free game was revealed, Hogwarts Legacy showing up makes sense. There’s also Read Dead Redemption 2 which is highly rumored.

It’s easy to see why people are excited. These aren’t small freebies. In fact put together, the lineup adds up to almost $300 worth of games. Exciting, yes, but seems too good to be true.

While many got excited, more were skeptical, saying the list was AI or from internet trolls. It is just too stacked. But then again, many have pointed out that Epic did offer GTA V before so anything is possible. Also, if the list were to be believed, people only have a day to claim the games starting from the second round so there’s still a bit of a “challenge” to get this $300 “package.”

So now, how good is this leak and where did it come from?

   

First reported by Notebook Check, the list apparently were already circulating in Chinese social media and have been mentioned in Chinese media too. The leak gained broader visibility after being shared by Alex Anderson who is a known Epic Redditor.

From there, it spread like wildfire. Some have put in their own take on the list mentioning that it is believable since some were already offered before like Jurassic World Evolution 2, and that there are Epic debuts from Commander Keen, Terraria and Mortal Kombat 11, which are on “special” days.

Whether this is real or not, time will tell. But if there’s a time to pray to the gaming Gods, it’s now and it’s for this list.
