The Epic Games Store vault is open. Is Rockstar really joining the party with Red Dead Redemption 2 ?

The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale has begun, and it started with a massive bang: Hogwarts Legacy is free right now (until Dec 18). But a “leaked” schedule circulating on Chinese forums claims this is just the warm-up. If the list is real, we are looking at Red Dead Redemption 2 and Detroit: Become Human for free.

 

The Epic Games Store Leaked List: 2025 Schedule

Every December, a “mystery game” list surfaces. Usually, it’s fake. This year, the lineup is so aggressive it feels illegal.

The leak, shared initially on QQ and later reported by some, suggests Epic is ditching the “indie filler” strategy and dropping straight AAA heat every 24 hours starting December 18.

Is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Leak Real?

Let’s be the voice of reason. Hogwarts Legacy being the opener gives this list dangerous credibility. It proves Epic is willing to burn cash this year.

However, Red Dead Redemption 2 as the grand finale? That is a “break the internet” scenario. While Epic famously gave away GTA V (and crashed their own launcher), RDR2 is still a top-seller in 2025.

Our take: This list is likely a fan-made “wishlist” masquerading as a leak. But with Hogwarts already free, the ceiling for “impossible” has been raised.

 

In Conclusion: Updates and Daily Drops

Whether this list is a prophecy or a prank, the strategy remains the same: Log in every day.

You don’t want to be the person who slept through December 29th because you thought the Detroit leak was fake. Keep your launcher updated and set your alarm for 11 AM EST (17:00 CET).
