Titan Quest II (TQ2) is the new installment in the famous isometric action RPG series by THQ Nordic. The series started in 2006 by the team at Iron Lore Entertainment, bringing us a Diablo-style experience set in the mythology of Ancient Greece.

The new chapter was announced in 2023 by the team at Grimlore Games, primarily known for Spellforce 3. It was initially slated for a 2024 launch but faced numerous delays, most recently pushing it to Summer 2025 in Early Access. Instead, they surprise-launched the game, making it available right from August 1, 2025.

The game is finally available in Early Access. This news surprised many, despite the confirmation of its availability for Summer 2025. This was accompanied by the official trailer from the showcase, which takes us back to the world of Greek mythology. With new challenges and monsters, we’ll wield divine weapons and powers to stop Nemesis.

 

Titan Quest II – Gameplay, Main Features, and Early Access

TQ2 is therefore positioned as a new chapter for the famous Diablo-style action RPG series. It takes us back on a new adventure in Greek mythology, among monsters, gods, and new legends. Here’s what the game offers:

  • Story: The goddess Nemesis is out of control, corrupting the Threads of Fate and condemning anyone who opposes her to Eternal Punishment. Wielding weapons and the power of the gods, we must face monsters and enemies from classical mythology to stop Nemesis.
  • Classes and Customization: A variety of highly customizable character classes are available. You can create hybrid classes to fit your playstyle, with loot opening up even more possibilities.
  • Gameplay: Fast-paced, action-packed gameplay, using parries, dodges, and powerful skills to take on every enemy. Factions and enemies can work together, each with their own playstyles and weaknesses. Of course, various weapons and skills are at our disposal.

And an Early Access that offers about 15 hours of game content. It provides the main game experience and a partially functional multiplayer. With updates approximately every 3 months that will expand everything. Bringing new additions to the world and quests, as well as skills and new features like crafting. The Early Access launch of Titan Quest II certainly surprised many fans. It offers a pretty fun experience, but this installment still feels very much like an incomplete game.
