Titan Quest II: Reasons for the Delay and What Improvements We’ll See
As mentioned, the team decided to delay the release window to Summer 2025. They shared some of the reasons, including strong competition in the ARPG genre at the time of the initial planned release. Here are some feedback from the Playtest:
- Experience: 92% positive experience from over half of the fans of the first game. A majority of positive feedback on the visual and auditory atmosphere.
- Combat: One of the most criticized aspects, but with a positive majority.
- Exploration: The introductory chapter felt a bit sparse, with the team promising a more open and secret-filled experience after the start.
The team is already working on some of the most criticized aspects, particularly the gameplay balance, as well as the somewhat unresponsive combat. Also, performance optimization is being addressed, along with a significant issue with visual clarity.
