It’s more good news for JRPG fans after Persona 3 Reload hits one million copies sold in its first week of release, becoming ATLUS’ fastest-selling game ever after it launched on February 2.
Persona 3 Reload is a remake of 2006’s P3 on the PlayStation 2. Built from the ground up, developer ATLUS has faithfully recreated the core story but completely overhauled the rest of the RPG with new voice acting, music, and visuals.
And the effort by the devs and SEGA has not gone unnoticed with fans of the series as it follows Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in reaching 1 million copies sold in its first week. To put that milestone into perspective, Persona 4 Golden Steam release reached 1 million sales after a year and Persona 5 Royal reached it after a month.
