Overwatch 2 leaks are hitting a fever pitch as Season 21 approaches. While Blizzard remains tight-lipped, new leaks practically confirm Hero 46.
Anran, the fire-wielding sister of current support hero Wuyang, is no longer just a lore figure. Recent teases and leaks suggest she is the centerpiece of the Overwatch 2 2026 roadmap.
The latest leak comes from OverFire on X, who has revealed that a datamine shows Anran’s voice lines are already in Overwatch 2, suggesting we could see her in the upcoming Season 21, which begins on February 10, 2026.
Overwatch 2: Meet Anran, the Potential Hero 46
Anran isn’t a new face for lore buffs. First appearing in the “Against the Tide” motion comic and the short story The Invitation, she is the “prodigal daughter” of the Wuxing University Fire College.
While her brother Wuyang masters the healing properties of water, Anran is a master of offensive fire techniques. Lore snippets reveal she stayed behind to fight Null Sector alone in Chengdu, buying time for civilians to escape.
The sibling dynamic mirrors the Hanzo and Genji rivalry but with a cooperative twist. Both siblings received an Overwatch medallion under their doors, setting the stage for a dual-hero narrative that Blizzard has been teasing for months.

The smoking gun for Anran’s arrival isn’t just a story, but in the game’s code. Dataminers recently uncovered localized ultimate voice lines for Echo in every major language.
When Echo duplicates this mystery hero, she reportedly shouts, “Scorch the sky!” This aligns perfectly with Anran’s fire-based background. These “accidental” file additions usually happen only 1–2 seasons before a hero’s debut.
Blizzard’s current release cadence points toward a Season 22 launch. However, Game Director Aaron Keller hinted that Season 21 will bring “massive gameplay shifts” even bigger than the 2025 Perk system.
Is Overwatch 2 Ready for a New Meta?
