Microsoft and Sony have struck a deal to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation as Microsoft continues to push the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has revealed via Twitter that they have signed an agreement with Sony to keep CoD on PlayStation after they complete the purchase of Activision Blizzard.

In a tweet, Spencer said, “We are pleased to announce that Microsoft and PlayStation have signed a binding agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.”

And Microsoft vice chair also announced via Twitter that the company remains focused on “ensuring that Call of Duty remains available on more platforms and for more consumers than ever before.”

The news comes after the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in California approved Microsoft’s bid to acquire Activision Blizzard, the Call of Duty publisher.
