Knights of the Old Republic Remake is Coming – Eventually
The Knights of the Old Republic remake is still be worked on, with Matthew Karch revealing the game is in active development.
Knights of the Old Republic Remake Coming Soon
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is still in active development, as Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch pronounced the game “alive and well.”
Speaking to IGN, Karch confirmed the team is still working on the RPG and that their dedicated to “making sure we exceed consumer expectations.” The news comes after a long silence since the remake was announced in 2021 without further information.
There were more recent fears that the game would never see the light of day after Saber Interactive separated from Embracer Group, following Embracer’s ongoing attempt to restructure. Fortunately, Saber was acquired by a private holding company owned by Karch, which has seemingly kept development on track.
Unfortunately, however, Karch did not reveal any more about the Star Wars RPG and reports from earlier in March from gaming insider Jason Schreier suggested it may never come out. So, it may come out, but then again it may never come out!
The only thing to be said for sure is that the classic KOTOR still holds up as one of the greatest RPGs of all time, and is a game everyone should try at least once. I’m told with mods, it’s even better and holds up against games released today. Best Star Wars Games to Play
