A New Freebie for Diablo 4

The Diablo 4 hype train is rolling. Following the reveal of Lord of Hatred at The Game Awards 2025—which promises the return of the Paladin class in April 2026—Blizzard needs to keep players engaged during Season 11.

“Divine Intervention” is currently live, and to celebrate, the developers have activated a Twitch Drops campaign. This isn’t a massive content dump, but it is a stylish cosmetic that costs you nothing but time.

The reward is the Barbute Hacker, a cosmetic appearance for one-handed axes. Note that this item is exclusive to the Barbarian class. Even if you don’t main a Barbarian right now, adding it to your wardrobe for future seasons is a smart move.

 

How to Unlock the Barbute Hacker

The process is straightforward. You do not need to play the game to earn the reward, but you must have your accounts linked. The event ends strictly on December 26 at 19:00 (CET).

Follow these exact steps to secure the drop:

  • Link Accounts: Go to your Battle.net account settings and connect it to your Twitch account.
  • Find a Stream: Open Twitch and browse the Diablo 4 category. Look for channels with “Drops Enabled” or “Drops” in the title.
  • Watch: View a participating stream for 2 hours.
  • Claim: Once the progress bar hits 100%, go to your Twitch Inventory to claim the item. It will appear in your in-game wardrobe shortly after.
 

Preparing for the Lord of Hatred

While this skin is a nice bonus, the real focus is on the future. The Lord of Hatred expansion arrives in April 2026, continuing the cliffhanger from Vessel of Hatred.
