Blizzard has launched this newest Diablo IV mode in Beta to fine-tune the return of global Leaderboards. Unlike The Pit, which focuses on pushing difficulty caps, the Tower demands absolute efficiency against a strict 10-minute clock.

Players must clear floors, utilize strategic Pylons, and summon the Guardian before time runs out. The update also aligns Boss health with The Pit, removing frustrating self-healing mechanics to ensure skill dictates the winner.

Diablo IV Update 2.5.2: Launch & Mechanics

Blizzard made Update 2.5.2 available on January 12, 2026. The gates to the Tower opened globally at 11:00 a.m. PST on the Seasonal Realm.

Here is the breakdown for your first run:

  • Access: Unlock the mode by reaching Season Rank 2, then interact with the new Obelisk in Cerrigar.
  • The Clock: You have exactly 10 minutes to clear floors and defeat the Guardian.
  • Pylon Strategy: Speed Pylons now grant +50% Attack Speed and Knockdown enemies, while Power Pylons have been balanced (damage multiplier reduced from 4x to 3x).
  • The Cycle: Leaderboards will reset every two weeks, giving you frequent chances to claim a top spot or refine your route.

Beta Status: Rewards vs Effort

The Tower has launched into Beta, with Blizzard prioritizing stability and feedback over a massive loot shower. However, participation is crucial.

While the current reward loop focuses on leaderboard prestige and testing the waters, unique cosmetic rewards are expected to roll out as the mode evolves into a permanent fixture. This is your chance to practice the layouts before the competition gets fierce in future seasons.
