Battlefield 6 Open Beta: Dates, Preload, And Access Details
Battlefield 6 Open Beta begins August 7 with early access and two public weekends. Play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S & PC. Preload starts August 4.
What an incredible reveal that was. It was as explosive with the scenes as it was with the content. The launch maps, classes, modes, and more have been announced but probably the main highlight for all Battlefield fans was the date announcement for the open beta. And exactly what the leaks suggested, it is happening this month.
Battlefield 6 Open Beta Scheduled for August
While the game isn’t due until October 10th, fans will be able to experience it already this month. EA announced that there are officially 2 Open Beta weekends, and another one before these for early access.
This early access is only available to players who signed up for Battlefield Labs by July 31st or earned access via Twitch Drops during the reveal streams. The latter however caused massive frustration as the codes weren’t exactly easy to redeem considering how many were trying to, all at the same time. For those who were successful, preloading starts on August 4 at 3PM UTC / 8AM PT.
The Open Beta will unlock on their specified start dates at 8AM UTC / 1AM PT and close at 8AM UTC / 1AM PT.
- Early Access Open Beta (requires a key): August 7–8
- Open Beta Weekend 1: August 9–11
- Open Beta Weekend 2: August 14–17
The beta will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App. The request access links to the open beta isn’t live yet as of writing. But rest assured this is an open beta and no pre-order is needed even for the early access, contrary to some earlier leaks.

Haven't played a Battlefield game in a long time. I think I like the way they're going with Battlefield 6 so I'm most certainly going to give the beta a go. Hopefully the vehicles and map destruction is more satisfying than ever, if they nail that, the multiplayer matches are going to be so much fun.
