Baldur’s Gate 3 – 2nd Anniversary Celebration

With the official news on 4 August 2025, the Larian team celebrates the huge second anniversary of Baldur’s Gate 3. The famous and beloved turn-based fantasy RPG inspired by the world and rules of DnD. Celebrating the official launch on PC that happened on 3 August 2023 after its Early Access period.

A major Anniversary that the team shares with us through community stats. Counting over 265 Million Downloads and a whopping 8,500 Mods uploaded. But also with Shadowheart as the “Most Respecced Companion” with the introduction of the 12 subclasses. As well as veterans who have completed some special challenges in Honour Mode.

Larian Studios: From Baldur’s Gate 3 to the Next Project

An incredible journey for the Larian team, which officially concluded updates for BG3 in April 2025 with Patch 8. But they continue to support the title with various bug fixes to improve the experience. And it seems there’s some major movement regarding the team’s next project.

Straight from the words of CEO Swen Vincke, who is celebrating the big anniversary. He left a confirmation that BG3’s success has allowed the team to work on their next “next crazy thing”. Confirming that they are already in development of the next game, promising us a huge surprise. But we’ll have to be a little patient.
