Elden Ring: ESRB Rates RPG Mature
Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s next big release, receives a Mature 17+ rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

ELDEN RING RATED MATURE AHEAD OF RELEASE
It may not seem like much at first that a game is rated, but its rating can tell you a lot about what to expect when it releases.
Elden Ring’s ESRB rating of Mature 17+ includes a summary that promises violence, nudity, blood, and curse words during dialogue.
Alongside its rating, the ESRB’s summary of Elden Ring describes the game as an “action role-playing game in which players assume the role of a character trying to retrieve a magical ring and become the Elden Lord.”
It says that players can “use swords, spears, axes, arrows, and magic” during melee combat to defeat enemies.
For anyone hoping for a violent game, Elden Ring contains “depictions of gore: collectible items that include severed fingers and tongues; a boss character cutting off its arm; severed arms hanging from a ceiling.”
We may not know much about George R. R. Martin’s and FromSoftware’s upcoming RPG, but at least we know we can expect another Dark Souls-like experience.
