Death Stranding Profitable, Next Project Secured
Death Stranding profitable, we can expect a new project because of it.
Death Stranding director, Hideo Kojima publicly stated recently that Death Stranding was lucrative enough to be called a success.
According to the director, not only did the title generate profit, Death Stranding made enough to initiate the development of the next title. He also added that the PC version of Death Stranding will be released soon.
In case you don’t already know, Death Stranding is an open-world action game that was published and developed by Hideo Kojima. It places you in the shoes of a porter of a company named Sam Bridges who must withstand hazardous and life-threatening conditions to deliver packages. The game has a built-in reward system that attributes experience points and levels to Sam, based on the condition of the packages upon delivery, punctuality, and the difficulty of the task undertaken.
Death Stranding was very highly anticipated and did not disappoint at launch. It quickly grew to be one of the most talked-about games within the gaming community and even later won the award for “Best PS4 Exclusive” at the IGN Game of the Year Awards 2019.
Death Stranding went on to win several other accolades across several categories and was a valiant contender for every category in which it was nominated. Surely, the said accolades would be enough for many to label the game a success; however, how the game performed commercially is what ultimately determines the likelihood of a successor.
Now, players can rest assured that their adoration for the game was reflected in sales and that a new title is in the works.
Death Stranding is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and is expected to be released for PC on July 14, 2020.
