Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update

The upcoming 2.0 update brings forth significant augmentations to the core Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay.

The skill tree’s complete redesign offers players newfound autonomy through fresh perks and abilities allowing a more personalized playstyle.

The reimagined car combat system introduces innovations such as shooting while driving and hacking of rival vehicles.

Police mechanics have been thoroughly reworked giving a more authentic response to criminal activities and being less likely to spawn out of nowhere.

New cyberwear implants have also been added giving players even more ways to augment their bodies. The revamped cyberwear system establishes a connection between the armor and the equipped cyberwear. In the updated Integumentary System category, various new types of cyberwear are integrated within it.

Changes include the removal of the current Immune System-modifying cyberwear, the addition of an extra Hand slot, and the introduction of a legendary cyberwear mod for legs, a feature not currently present in the live game.

So basically, there are over 100 new items that have been added to the game and a number of bug fixes and quality of life improvements have been made including improved AI.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Phantom Liberty

Phantom Liberty is the first major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 since its release in 2020. It will take players to the new district of Dogtown, a dangerous and lawless area ruled by a trigger-happy militia.

Players will assume the role of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary who must infiltrate the militia and unravel a web of shattered loyalties and sinister political machinations. New characters include secret agent Solomon Reed, who will be played by film and TV star Idris Elba.

Although the 2.0 update and the DLC are dropping together and share the same feature updates, given that the expansion’s new Dogtown Black Market is intricately linked to the expansion’s story, certain new items will remain exclusive to expansion purchasers. One of which is activating and leveling up the Relic skill tree. Gamers must travel to Dogtown as the devices needed to do that are in that area.
