Another notable improvement is the removal of the tick rate, which is the frequency at which servers respond to players. All maps have been optimized for the Source Engine 2 to ensure a more competitive gaming experience. Not all maps from Counter Strike: Global Offensive are available in Counter Strike 2 yet. The maps currently in the game are Mirage, Overpass, Vertigo, Ancient, Inferno, Nuke, Anubis, Dust 2, and Office.
Yes, Counter Strike 2 is just as free to play as Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
