Tron 2.0 is a first-person shooter game developed by Monolith Productions, Inc. and published by Disney Interactive.
The game is an adaptation of the popular film Tron, considered as the present-day sequel to the 1982 film, and pretty much incorporates elements from the film such as the environment (inside a computer). The game continues the story from 20 years ago, where Future Control Industries (fCON) takes over the company ENCOM, and Alan Bradley mysteriously disappears while on the phone with his son, Jet Bradley.
With the help of Alan’s AI computer system Ma3a, Jet is digitized and sent inside the computer and is determined to find his father and break into fCON’s server to destroy Thorne, an fCON executive who was improperly digitized and turned into a computer virus.
Tron 2.0’s single-player campaign takes players in a virtual world inside a computer where the goal in each level is to complete tasks as well as find keys (also called “permission bits”) so they can have access to and move on to the next level. The game also has the film’s signature neon-glowing, vibrant colors, as well as energy bridges and gates.
As Jet, you will be able to customize his character with upgrades. He also gets to have his name upgraded from Jet V0.0 to Jet V0.1, for example.
