Demon Scourge is a DLC Expansion for the turn-based story-focused 4X game SpellForce: Conquest of Eo developed by Owned by Gravity, something has broken through the veil that separates the world of Fiara from the demon realm.   • Twenty-five new units including a whole new faction of trolls as well as a variety of powerful demons, will have no shortage of new allies or enemies to meet. 30 new promotions also bring a massive variety to your units, helping them face the 120 new adventures and missions this DLC has to offer.

No demonic summoning rituals were necessary to make the game work smoothly on my PC or the Steam Deck. It has very quick loading times and I suffered no crashes. Some of the walking animations on the world map wouldn’t work correctly and projectiles regularly clip through terrain surfaces. Though these don’t exactly help with the immersion, they are minor visual issues. The game also features plenty of settings you can play around with, such as an FPS limiter.

While the new Demonologist is sure to get much of my attention for the time being, I’m also very eager to run back through the game as an Alchemist, mixing up industrial quantities of Sacred Water to splash in the Demon Lords’ faces, or an Artificer kitting out Troll soldiers with the best Glyphs available. This DLC is the perfect reason to reinstall SpellForce: Conquest of Eo, or to try it for the first time.
