Of Ash and Steel is an open world 3rd person medieval RPG but under that first impression there is a game like the timeless classics, like Gothic, with a complex hand crafted simulated world, npcs and faction reactions, no map markers so you have to explore and talk to everybody to progress and of course take advantage of your skills, as every problem and mission can be solved different ways. Overall it may look a bit janky but it is one games where you get lost and forget about real world
