About this game

The Utopos Space Station represented a fresh hope for humanity, but it was a failure. You’ll have to clean up the mess, fight alien invaders, save scientists, and provide vaccines to stop a deadly pandemic, among other tasks. The asteroid belt is full of wild space aliens, many of which are the results of human attempts to create a life that can endure in space but were unsuccessful.

• You have the option of playing in ARCADE or ADVENTURE mode. You can play any unlocked level in the adventure mode to pick up where you left off in your global conquest. You can select any unlocked world in the arcade mode, but you always start at the beginning and try to get all the way to the end.
• 20 different weapons are available. When the game first begins, you receive the default weaponry, and as you go, you can acquire additional.
• You must decide which weapon suits your playing style and the level the best because each weapon has a different set of features.

I’d imagine Guntech 2 comes off a little better on other platforms where performance and visibility issues would be less of a problem, but even on Switch this is still a pretty good time. You’ve got a lot of elements to play around with, and the basic gameplay mechanics are snappy and enjoyable. It calls back to a particular time and place in gaming history in a very comfortable way, and those who enjoy more deliberately paced action games will get their fill here.
